We do not replace lost tags because this usually happens when the lead is attached by mistake to the tag's split ring, causing it to open and release the tag.  If the ring is completely intact and the tag has disappeared, send us a photo and we'll send a replacement tag.

Our tags normally last for years. If fading occurs within a shorter timeframe, it is usually because it has been regularly exposed to water and not kept clean and dry.  For active pets or frequent swimmers, we recommend choosing stainless steel tags for maximum resilience. To keep your tag looking its best, regularly wash and dry it after exposure to water or dirt.

We maintain the right to decide whether to replace with the original tag purchased or with a stainless steel tag.  

Our tags are crafted for durability and long-lasting clarity, but if you notice any wear, simply email us for a complimentary replacement and provide a photo.

How our guarantee works:

• If your tag becomes illegible or breaks within the guarantee period, simply email us at info@pet-tags.co.uk for a prompt replacement.

• For the most active pets, we recommend stainless steel tags for maximum longevity.

• Bling tags should be reserved for special occasions and not worn during swimming or rough play, to maintain their sparkle.

• Brass tags will tarnish over time and may require occasional polishing; exposure to water can speed up fading of engraving.

• To keep any tag looking its best, always wash and dry it after exposure to water, wet fur, or dirt.

Please note: We do not replace lost tags, as loss is often due to the lead being attached to the split ring instead of the collar ring. If you notice any deterioration, contact us right away for a replacement.
