How to register and activate Smart Tag

1. Scan this QR Code or click here to register your account, set up your pet’s profile and link your tag. 

2. Using your smart phone, open the camera and scan the QR Code on your new Smart Tag. Allow use of location. Location Services needs to be ON in Settings/Privacy & Security. 

3. Once the QR Code has been scanned, you will receive an email showing an accurate location of the scan. If use of location is not shared, the location shown on the email will be dictated by the scanner’s internet service provider and where their closest exchange is.

4. Click on Contact Owner and send a test message. You should receive this in an email. Now you’re ready to put the tag on your pet’s collar!

The Smart Tag makes it easy for someone who finds a lost pet to contact the owner and view the essential details on the pet’s profile by scanning the QR Code with the camera on their smart phone. As soon as the profile is accessed an email is sent to notify you. A scanning location will be included but as always, GPS accuracy depends on the device and browser and the user needs to grant location permission.  The location can show as inaccurate due to weak signal (including scanning indoors), VPN, privacy settings or ‘approximate location’ mode.
